Description

After being introduced to your driver/guide, travel east of the Ocho Rios town for approximately 4 miles, pass through local communities and then head into the rural hills until we get to the remote Irie Blue & Secret Falls attraction. The Irie Blue Hole is deep and a lot of fun for good swimmers and divers of all ages. The White River’s blue hazy water adds to the beauty of the surroundings. Included in this attraction for thrill seekers is a Tarzan Rope swing, after which you can jump in the river pool, you may explore small caves, climb behind the waterfalls, go cliff diving into the river, hike along the river and get covered in clay from the river bank. Enjoy the cool breeze in the hills, bask in the sun and spend a day in the Jamaican bush enjoying the beautiful surroundings away from the crowds associated with larger tourist attractions. This is an off the beaten track attraction that supports the local economy. After you have finished climbing, exploring and having an adventure, its time to go gliding downstream on a rubber tube down the river. It’s one wet adventure after the other. Your driver/guide will take you for a 15-minute ride down toward the coast to begin your river tubing adventure on the White River. On your way to the river, you will get a taste of Jamaica as you pass through local neighbourhoods. When you arrive at the White River, you will be briefed, placed one person to a river tube and with two experienced river guides who head groups of 5-15 persons at a time downstream. If the group is smaller, you will be provided with one guide to every five tubes. The river tubing guides are fun and helpful. Life vests are also available for those who prefer these and there are changing rooms and bathrooms at this point. The tubes are filled out with a bottom which helps you to enjoy your journey. On your trip down the river, you will go through seven rapids and placid pools. The tropical scenery is amazing as you glide downstream on this 45 minutes to an hour journey. There is a midway stop as you go downstream where you will have the opportunity to stop and swing on a rope and fall into the river which is about 20ft. deep at this section, before continuing downstream in your tube. Your guide/driver will safeguard your belongings while you go tubing. After you have finished both activities your driver/guide will take you for some Jamaican Lunch and do some last minute shopping before returning to your Cruise Ship or Resort.     I have to say that is was the best excursion ever. Our driver Willy was amazing. Little T was awesome and so was Randy. They all made us feel safe and worked hard to make us laugh and have fun. My family and I will never forget these wonderful memories your company made for us.

    We had a fantastic time!! The driver was great. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the country. We felt very safe driving with him.

    The tour guides at Blue Hole and the River Tubing were great as well! They did their best to make sure that we had a great time!

    Apart from a few little issues upon pick up (he thought pick up was 9:30 and he wasn’t aware that we were going river tubing) he was great. Once those issues were straightened out and we were on our way Uton was a wonderful host. He provided a lot of info and many laughs. He escorted us to our tour guides and made sure we were in good hands and was ready to meet us right where we could find him. He was informative and accommodating when I asked if we could make a quick stop at the pharmacy for some shampoo. He also ordered our lunch for us so we could sit and enjoy the atmosphere (amazing lunch by the way!!). The only thing I would avoid if we did it again was the shopping. The place we stopped at was very high pressure and expensive. The bottle of rum my daughter bought was “discounted” yet still cost almost twice as much as it was at other stores. It left her feeling a little taken advantage of. That aside, the trip was amazing and we had a wonderful time!

    We had a wonderful time. One of the highlights of our trip. The blue hole is beautiful. Little T Was a great guide kept family safe.River tubing was a blast our guides sang most of the was great trip would do again in a heart beat.
