Description

After being introduced to your driver/guide, travel along the north coast to the Stables where you will be given a brief orientation before going on an unforgettable trail ride on a beautiful historic property and through a river. Next, you will ride on the beach … a truly memorable experience. We will then head east of the Ocho Rios town, pass through local communities and then head into the rural hills until we get to the remote Blue Hole & Secret Falls attraction.

The Blue Hole & Secret Falls is a lot of fun for good swimmers and divers of all ages. The White River’s blue hazy water adds to the beauty of the surroundings. Included in this attraction for thrill seekers is a Tarzan Rope swing, after which you can jump in the river pool, explore small caves, climb behind the waterfalls, go cliff diving into the river, hike along the river and get covered in clay from the river bank. Enjoy the cool breeze in the hills, bask in the sun and spend a day in the Jamaican bush enjoying the beautiful surroundings away from the crowds associated with larger tourist attractions. This is an off the beaten track attraction that supports the local economy.

After you have finished climbing, exploring and having an adventure, it’s time to go gliding downstream on a rubber tube down the river. It’s one wet adventure after the other. Your driver/guide will take you for a 15-minute ride down toward the coast to begin your river tubing adventure on the White River. On your way to the river, you will get a taste of Jamaica as you pass through local neighbourhoods.

When you arrive at the White River, you will be briefed, placed one person to a river tube and with two experienced river guides who head groups of 5-15 persons at a time downstream. If the group is smaller, you will be provided with one guide to every five tubes. The river tubing guides are fun and helpful. Life vests are also available for those who prefer these and there are changing rooms and bathrooms at this point. The tubes are filled out with a bottom which helps you to enjoy your journey. On your trip down the river, you will go through seven rapids and placid pools.

The tropical scenery is amazing as you glide downstream on this 45 minutes to an hour journey. There is a midway stop as you go downstream where you will have the opportunity to stop and swing on a rope and fall into the river which is about 20ft. deep at this section, before continuing downstream in your tube. Your guide/driver will safeguard your belongings while you go tubing. After you have finished these activities your driver/guide will take you for some Jamaican Lunch and do some last minute shopping before returning to your Cruise Ship or Resort.
